I'm really enjoying Ubuntu. Can be a bit tricky with peripherals sometimes tho (and some internal hardware as well). I've been really lucky in that everything has basically worked "out of the box" for me. Only thing I've had to fiddle around with on my desktop PC is the settings for the mouse to get all the extra buttons on my Logitech MX1000 mouse to work. On the laptop I just had to reconfigure xorg since it didn't detect the screen res ok for the screen.
I find that most programs I've used in Windows I can use in Ubuntu as well. Might be 'cos it's mostly open source and/or freeware stuff. Was really easy to import all my emails as well since I was using Mozilla Thunderbird in Windows before as well.

I got Ubuntu as well but I miss Windows in the way that they have automatic built up solutions for everything, that I now have to solve myself and too lazy to so end up being limited instead. Eg. install webcam software doesn't exist for Ubuntu, having to recode a Windows driver in order to get wireless networkcard to work. Photoshop bye bye.
Much that I took for granted working in Windows isn't. The thing is Ubuntu is smoother and more stabile and therefore nice. Also I support open source.

Thank you :)
Just got to write a cover letter (which I detest :P), get my CV up on some jobsites, and last but not least decide what I actually want to do. Atm I'm thinking anything apart from call center ;P

Heya sweetie :)
I think I should just avoid posting in the evenings or something. Then I won't babble as much ;)
But then again I wouldn't mind an award for my babbling. It'd be nice to get rewarded for being good at something, even if it's just for having a tendency to babble when tired ;)
Think I might be up for the 2006 Crappy Typer of the Year Award as well ;P (although I edited out all the typos for this time).
